Recycled plastic

The problem of plastic pollution in our seas is a challenge we cannot ignore.
80% of the plastic that pollutes our oceans originates inland, where it gradually breaks down into invisible microplastics that enter the food chain, causing serious harm to marine ecosystems.
Beyond this environmental disaster, there are also major health risks for humans: microplastics make their way into supermarkets and onto our plates — through fish, shellfish, and crustaceans.

In short, there are many compelling reasons to reduce plastic pollution, but action must be taken upstream. Once plastic reaches the sea, it becomes almost impossible to recycle, as exposure to salt and sunlight alters its chemical composition.

This is why Arbos is committed to “stopping” plastic before it reaches the sea.
In our products, we use only plastic recovered from separate waste collection in Italian river basins — including the Venice Lagoon, the Piave River, and the Tanaro River in the province of Asti.
The plastic we select is certified with the “Plastica Seconda Vita” (Second Life Plastic) label, which ensures it is made from recycled materials that meet the strictest standards.
If you’d like to learn more about this certification, you can find detailed information at this link.

Through our recycled plastic notebooks, journals, and accessories, we tell stories of recovery and environmental respect — turning a global problem into a creative, sustainable solution.
