Paper
Recycled paper is the most precious material for us at Arbos — it has always inspired us to create objects that respect the planet.
Every page in our notebooks is made from 100% recycled paper, produced in Europe according to the highest environmental standards.
This paper has a reduced environmental impact, also because no chemical bleaching processes are used at any stage of its production — a practice sometimes employed to remove residual inks and varnishes.
At Arbos, recycled paper is more than just a material: it is a symbol of a cycle that renews itself, of a past transformed into a future, of resources reborn to tell new stories.
Cartapaglia (straw paper) is one of the most eco-friendly types of recycled paper, obtained from non-deinked post-consumer waste collected from urban recycling.
Its rough surface, marked by small chromatic imperfections, tells the story of a material that has lived many lives before becoming something new and unique.
Producing cartapaglia requires very little water and energy, and even today it is made in one of the oldest paper mills in Italy. Its raw yet noble texture makes it a durable material — one that invites you to write, draw, and dream freely.
