Solagna, shown here in a beautiful photo by Ivo Schirato, is preparing for the traditional “Mandorlato Fair” or “Fair of the cold Madonna” which is celebrated every year on 8 December. It is one of the oldest fairs in the Bassano area, during which the streets of the town are full of stalls selling mandorlato and other local products such as black truffles.
The event is held in this period because it marked the return home of the charcoal burners, after they had been making charcoal all over Europe and in central Italy. It was therefore the first winter feast-day when the whole town was together.
At Arbos we too are taking part in the celebrations: in fact, our head office will stay open to host the Show 5+1 Cinque Creative e Una Fabbrica (Five Creative Artists, One Factory), during which five creative artists from our territory will show and sell their creations, all hand-crafted and strictly Made in Italy. Perfumes, jewels made of plexiglass and paper, ceramics and bags… There will be something to suit all tastes.
The show will be held in the Arbos head office, the very place that produces the best ecological stationery Made in Valbrenta.
We will be open on 6, 7 and 8 December from 9 to 12 and from 14 to 18.
We look forward to seeing you there!
